Jan Kempenaers’ photos of the Spomenik monuments, an array of mass graves from 1945 spread throughout Slovenia and erected, apparently, by the communist regime to commemorate the common traumatic experience of WWII.
4th monument is from a place called Tjentište in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was erected to commemorate Battle of the Sutjeska. But yeah, communists sure knew how to build their monuments back then.
